Turn familiar Minecraft blocks into all sorts of decorative variants. Pick a look from the Chisel menu, change blocks right in your world, or let automation handle the bulk work. There are tools to help plan your builds, too.
ChiselTeam / Projects
More ways to build.
We develop Chisel and CTM together. Chisel adds blocks and building tools, while CTM handles connected textures and can also be used by other mods.
Add connected textures to your NeoForge mod, from simple joins to layered surfaces and patterns that span several blocks. Write your models in JSON or generate them with the Java API.
Shared principles
Made to work together.
Both projects target NeoForge for Minecraft 26.1.2, keep public integration surfaces intentionally small, and use standard data resources wherever that is the cleanest extension point.
Data where it fits
Use tags to add blocks to Chisel families and JSON to define CTM behavior. If you need runtime logic, the Java APIs are there too.
Your blocks stay yours
Your addon still owns its blocks and resources. Chisel groups them into families, and CTM handles the connected textures.
Built in the open
Both projects use the GPL-3.0 license. Bug fixes, docs, and translations are welcome. Have a feature in mind? Open a discussion first.
